WHAT COMES IN A KID'S ACTIVITY BOX?

Each kid’s activity box contains the following elements:

  • A booklet with information about the topic, QR codes with links to videos about the month’s theme, detailed instructions and pictures of how to complete that month’s activities and everything you need to complete at least four activities for that month.  Extension suggestions are included.
  • All materials for at least four hands-on activities.

A related book and STEM toy can be purchased as add-ons to the monthly box.

WHAT ABOUT SIBLINGS?

Siblings are easily able to enjoy one box together. The activities can be done collaboratively and children can benefit just as much by doing the activity with a sibling as doing the activity on their own.  Or if you wish each sibling to have their own box, you may order two of the same box or two different lines.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE KISKADEE, POPPY AND PAWPAW BOXES?

Kiskadee boxes are designed for children ages 6-9.  Children in this age range should be able to complete the majority of the box activities without assistance.  The theme and activities are STEM-based (other skills may included). 

Poppy subscription boxes are STEM-based activity boxes for children ages 4-5. The theme and activities are STEM-based (other skills may included). 

Pawpaw boxes (for children ages 2-3) are based on a STEM theme; however, the activities are often developmentally-based to encourage fine motor and language skills through play.    

HOW DO THE NEWBORN BABY BOXES WORK?

If you choose to give a newborn gift box, you may choose to have this box delivered to your home (if you wish to give the gift in person) or to your recipient’s home.  Just make sure you put the recipient’s address for the delivery address if you wish the box to be delievered to the recipient.

WHAT ABOUT DELIEVERY OF PRODUCTS FROM YOUR STORE?

Any order over $49.95 can be delivered for free within three business days.  We usually deliver toys/developmental products on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. 

We do our best to keep STEM boxes stocked; however, there may be times when we run out of supplies.  If you wish to place an order, please give us a week’s notice so we can prepare your box and ensure it’s ready for delivery.  If you place an order and we do not have that box in stock, we can offer you a different themed box, or will issue a refund.

Orders under $49.95 can be collected from Southampton during our collection times, or delivery (within three business days) can be arranged for a $10 fee.

MAY I COLLECT ITEMS I ORDERED?

Items may be collected either from town or from Southampton at a predetermined time.  If you are interested in picking up your items, please contact us through DM on Instagram or Facebook or via email: info@brightisle.com.

DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF BERMUDA?

No, at this time our boxes and toys are only available locally in Bermuda.

WHO CAN ORDER THE STEM BOXES?

Our STEM boxes can be ordered by anyone who wants to enrich the learning of a child they know and love!  These boxes can be ordered by parents or grandparents, or could be given as one-time gifts for birthdays, holidays, or special treats.

Our gift boxes make the perfect gift for loved ones who may be living overseas and wish to give a gift to a child without paying for shipping costs.  Just send the link to our website with the product and a purchase can be made online and delivered locally!

DO YOU HAVE A RETURN POLICY?

At this time, all of our STEM boxes are ineligible for return.  Products purchased from our store may be returned for a store credit.

WHAT MAKES YOUR TOYS UNIQUE?

Our toys have been carefully curated for their educational/developmental qualities. 

Most of our toys for young children are open-ended toys that have many uses: they foster play, creativity and imagination.   

For older children, we focus on toys that encourage creativity, curiosity, critical thinking and other STEM skills.  

DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?

We sell gift cards which can be applied to any purchase – you can choose your denomination.  Gift cards are sent electronically and are applied to the customer’s total balance upon checkout.

ARE THESE STEM BOXES PURCHASED OVERSEAS AND SOLD LOCALLY?

All of our boxes have been designed by a local educator and mom.  The themes and activities are selected based on creating excitement around learning and the learning value.  The booklets are created and printed locally and products are curated to ensure that parents are able to open the box and learn with their children.  When possible, we seek to include a Bermuda connection with the month’s theme.
